THE POSITION:
As a Junior Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for categorizing and recording financial transactions in QuickBooks Online & Xero, reconciling bank accounts and credit cards, and troubleshooting any errors in reconciliation. You will work closely with our Senior Bookkeeper and Account Manager to ensure accuracy and timeliness in all bookkeeping tasks. This is a part-time position with 5-9 hours per week with team meetings Tuesday - Thursday 10am - 12pm Pacific Time Zone..

Statement of Job Duty:
The Junior Bookkeeper will be responsible for accurately recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and providing support to the Senior Bookkeeper and Account Manager.

You LOVE having a ton of autonomy + opportunities to bring your ideas to the table and see them come to life. You have a super power for maintaining numerous task lists organized in your brain. Someone who loves the entrepreneurial world, but doesn't want to be an entrepreneur yourself.

Part-time
Position Hours: 5-9 hours per week
Position Pay: Starting at minimum wage per hour or more based on experience

List of Job Responsibilities:
- Categorize and record financial transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards and troubleshoot any errors in reconciliation
- Request documentation and information from clients and ensure consistent follow-ups to retrieve necessary information
- Run payroll via Payroll Systems of each client
- Review and code receipts, invoices, and bills in Hubdoc
- Maintain accurate records and information about each client
- Create and document SOPs as needed for your role and duties
- Provide support to the Senior Bookkeeper and Account Manager with various tasks
- Assist with month-end close procedures with accuracy
- Fill out monthly Quality Control forms with detail
- Support the accuracy and timeliness of the handoff of information to the next team member
- Stay updated with accounting principles, practices, regulations, and fundamentals
- Handle general administrative tasks related to the bookkeeping team
- Maintain confidentiality of clients' information and handle all necessary sensitive data with discretion

Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Previous experience in bookkeeping or related field is preferred
- Equipment: Access to a computer with internet connection and proficiency in using QuickBooks Online, Asana (or similar task management), & Google Suite
- USA citizenship required

- Training will be provided for specific software and tools used
